Davina's artistic journey began with a crayon in her hand, at least according to her mother. A dedicated artist from a young age, Davina displayed her creative spirit by altering her clothes, painting bedroom walls, and transforming found objects into canvases, sculptures, or displays. Her artistic expression even extended to self-designed tattoos, a skill she began honing at the age of 16.

In 1999, Davina translated her passion for creative design and fine arts into a business venture, founding the graphic and web design company, Heavy Designs (www.heavydesigns.com). As the digital media landscape evolved, Davina's business thrived at the intersection of art and technology.

Inspired by two transformative trips to Burning Man in 2014, Davina established the DC Creators community, focusing on fostering creativity in the DC, MD, and VA areas. After years of organizing events, she took it a step further in March 2021 with the launch of the DC Creators Network & Exchange—a platform for creators to share and collaborate on all things creative.

The challenges posed by the pandemic in 2023 prompted Davina to return to event production, leveraging the community she built through DC Creators.
